I mentioned an entire vintage bedroom set makeover in my daydreaming post, and I wasn’t going to post it because my pictures did not turn out the way I wanted them too. Arh! Still learning how to use my camera!
It has such a sweet story though! This vintage bedroom set was given a makeover for a little boy, but the set came from his new grandma. You see, it’s a newly blended family. Now tell me that’s not super sweet!! Grandma’s are awesome! I come from a blended family so this one touches my heart. Don’t know what I would have done without my precious step-Dad and siblings! While it’s not easy blending families, it is a blessing!
Ok. Moving along to the furniture, before I start getting really sappy. These before pictures are from my phone so please excuse the quality. Both the dresser and the chest of drawers had wood tops that had cracked and split apart. Major repairs needed on those.
You can also see the color of the previous stain in this picture.
Look at that seamless repair! The wood didn’t break apart at the original seam but you can’t even tell now. Are you ready for the after photo’s?
I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of the headboard, footboard, and mirror included in this furniture makeover but they were all stained this rich deep espresso color and the hardware was updated with nickel pulls and knobs. I’m thankful to have been a tiny part in this families new journey together!
